Application Process

1. Surface Preparation

Initial Cleaning: Remove all loosely held impurities and particles from the surface. If possible, use a high-speed water jet for thorough initial cleaning. For heavily soiled surfaces, pre-clean with water to remove loose debris.

Area Protection: For kitchen applications, remove all foodstuffs, utensils, and packaging materials from the area or cover and protect them carefully. Protect surrounding surfaces that should not come in contact with the acidic cleaner.

2. Dilution & Preparation

Standard Dilution: Transfer Tile Cleaner into a container and dilute it with water in a 1:1 ratio (1 part cleaner to 1 part water). This is the standard dilution for most applications.

Adjustable Dilution: Other dilution ratios can be used depending on the severity of stains and type of surface:

• For Light Stains: Use higher water dilution (1:2 or 1:3 ratio)
• For Heavy Stains: Use less water dilution or undiluted for extremely stubborn deposits

3. Safety Equipment

Protective Gear: Always wear hand gloves (acid-resistant gloves if possible) during application to protect skin from the acidic formula. Ensure adequate ventilation in the working area.

4. Application Method

Step 1 – Apply: Moisten a sponge or cloth with the diluted liquid. Apply the solution evenly on the surface to be treated. Ensure complete coverage of stained areas.

Step 2 – Wait: Allow the cleaner to dwell on the surface for 4-5 minutes. This allows the active ingredients to break down stains and deposits. Do not let the solution dry on the surface.

Step 3 – Scrub: After the dwell time, scrub the surface thoroughly with a stiff bristle brush or broom. For floor applications, use a floor broom. For walls and vertical surfaces, use a hand brush.

5. Special Application Methods

For Stubborn Stains: Apply undiluted cleaner directly on the stain area and immediately rub with emery sheet (120 grit size) for best results. If diluting, apply the solution and leave for 10 minutes before rubbing with emery sheet.

For Grout Cleaning: Use a small brush to work the cleaner into grout lines. Allow adequate dwell time before scrubbing and rinsing.

For Industrial Bio-Wash: Apply as per standard procedure to kill spores and prevent algae/fungus formation on industrial surfaces.

For Acid Etching (Surface Preparation): Apply diluted cleaner to create a slightly rough surface profile before applying epoxy or PU coatings. This improves adhesion of subsequent coatings.

6. Post-Application Care

Kitchen Areas: After using the cleaner in kitchen spaces, all surfaces in the area must be thoroughly rinsed with potable (drinking quality) water to ensure food safety.

Final Rinse: Always ensure complete removal of cleaner residue through thorough rinsing with clean water. Any remaining acidic residue could damage surfaces over time.
