Application Process

1. Surface Preparation

Cleaning: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, loose particles, grease, oil, paint, and other contaminants. Remove all dirt and loose paint flakes using wire mesh or wire brush.

Crack Treatment: For cracks smaller than 5 mm, Advanced Latex Plus can be directly applied. For cracks larger than 5 mm, fill with cement mortar work first, allow to cure, then proceed with waterproofing treatment.

Surface Condition: The substrate should be structurally sound. Repair any major defects or damaged areas before application.

2. Mixing Ratios for Different Applications

For Waterproofing:

• Mix Advanced Latex Plus with cement in 1:3 ratio (1 part Advanced Latex Plus to 3 parts cement by volume)
• Add water as required to achieve workable consistency
• Mix thoroughly to form a homogeneous slurry

For Bond Coating:

• Mix Advanced Latex Plus with cement in 1:2 ratio (1 part Advanced Latex Plus to 2 parts cement)
• Add minimal water to create a thick paste-like consistency
• Apply as a bonding coat between old and new concrete

For Crack Repairs:

• For cracks up to 5 mm, mix Advanced Latex Plus with cement in 1:2 ratio
• Create a paste-like consistency
• Press firmly into cracks, ensuring complete filling

For Plasticizing Mortar:

• Add 100-200 ml of Advanced Latex Plus per bag of cement (50 kg)
• Mix with water and sand as per standard mortar preparation
• This improves workability and bonding strength

3. Application Methods

For Waterproofing Coats:

• Apply the mixed slurry using brush or trowel
• Apply 2-3 coats for effective waterproofing
• Allow each coat to dry for 6-8 hours before applying the next coat
• Keep the surface moist for 3-4 days after application by light water sprinkling (curing)

For Bond Coating:

• Apply the thick paste uniformly on the old concrete surface
• While the bond coat is still wet, apply fresh concrete or plaster
• Ensure proper adhesion between old and new work

For Crack Filling:

• Clean the crack thoroughly and dampen the surface
• Fill the crack completely with the prepared paste
• Smooth the surface and allow to cure
• Apply waterproofing coat over repaired area if required

4. Drying & Curing

Allow adequate drying time between coats (6-8 hours minimum). After final application, cure the surface by keeping it moist through light water sprinkling for 3-4 days. This ensures proper strength development and optimal waterproofing performance.

5. Coverage

Coverage depends on surface porosity, application method, and intended use. Typical coverage for waterproofing is approximately 1-1.5 kg per square meter for 2 coats (mixed with cement as per recommended ratio).

6. Safety & Storage

Safety: Advanced Latex Plus is non-toxic and safe for use in home environments. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. If contact occurs, wash immediately with clean water. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Protect from frost and freezing temperatures. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacturing when stored properly in unopened condition.
