Application Process

1. Pre-Application Checks

Critical Parameters: Before painting, ensure the following conditions are met:

• Wall moisture content should be below 12%
• Wall surface pH value should be between 7-11
• Surface temperature should be between 10°C-35°C
• Avoid painting during rain or extremely humid conditions

2. Surface Preparation

For Fresh/New Surfaces: Allow adequate curing time (minimum 28 days for new plaster). Remove all loose dust, dirt, grease, efflorescence, and organic growth by thorough washing with water. Allow the surface to dry completely.

For Previously Painted Surfaces: Remove all loose, flaking, or chalking paint using scraper or wire brush. Wash the surface thoroughly to remove dust, grease, fungus, and algae. Do not apply paint on chalking, flaking surfaces, or surfaces infected with fungus/algae without proper treatment. Repair all cracks, holes, and surface imperfections using suitable exterior-grade putty or crack filler. Sand smooth and remove dust.

3. Protection of Adjacent Areas

Cover windows, doors, railings, switchboards, and other fixtures with protective plastic sheets or masking tape. Protect floors, landscaping, and adjacent surfaces from paint spillage.

4. Priming

Apply 1-2 coats of recommended exterior primer (such as Berger Seal O Prime or WeatherCoat Primer) for optimal adhesion, enhanced paint performance, and better hiding power. Allow the primer coat to dry completely (4-6 hours) before proceeding with topcoat application. For porous or highly absorbent surfaces, use an additional primer coat.

5. Paint Application

Preparation: Shake well before use. Stir and strain the material through a fine sieve before application to remove any lumps or skin formation.

Application Methods: Apply using brush, roller, or spray gun. For best results, use high-quality synthetic brushes or medium-nap rollers.

First Coat: Apply the first coat evenly, ensuring uniform spreading and proper coverage. Avoid over-dilution or over-extension of brush, as this can compromise the protective properties. Allow 4-6 hours drying time between coats under normal conditions.

6. Final Finishing

Second & Third Coats: Apply 2-3 coats of topcoat, maintaining the recommended interval of 4-6 hours between each coat. For maximum durability and superior sheen, three coats are recommended.

Quality Check: Ensure complete and uniform coverage with no missed spots, streaks, or variations in sheen. The final finish should display the characteristic high-gloss appearance of the PU technology.

7. Post-Application Care

Allow the final coat to cure for at least 7 days before exposing to heavy rain or washing. Avoid contact with water during the initial curing period for optimal film formation and durability.

8. Safety & Storage

Safety: Use in well-ventilated areas. If paint comes in contact with eyes, flush with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention. If skin contact occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Use thinned material within 24 hours.
