Application Process
1. Surface Preparation
Ensure the surface is structurally sound, clean, and free from dust, grease, loose paint, algae, or fungal growth. Remove any flaking or chalking areas using sandpaper or wire brush to eliminate loose particles. For previously painted surfaces, repair all cracks using suitable crack filler and level imperfections.
2. Protection of Adjacent Areas
Cover windows, doors, switchboards, and other elements with plastic sheets to ensure no paint drops fall on floors or unwanted areas.
3. Priming
Apply a recommended exterior primer (such as Walmasta Exterior & Interior Primer) to improve adhesion, enhance paint durability, and provide better protection for walls. Allow the primer coat to dry completely before proceeding with paint application.
4. Paint Application
Apply the first coat evenly using brush, roller, or spray application. Maintain uniform spreading to avoid patchiness. Allow adequate drying time before applying the second coat.
5. Final Finishing
Apply 2-3 coats of paint after the first coat has dried to achieve optimum color depth, protection, and finish uniformity. Ensure environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity are suitable during application and drying.
