Application Process
1. Surface Preparation
For Wall Surfaces: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, loose paint, or contaminants. Fill cracks and imperfections with suitable putty. Sand smooth and remove all dust.
For Wood Surfaces: Clean the surface thoroughly. Sand along the grain direction to create a smooth finish. Remove all sanding dust. For new wood, apply suitable wood primer and allow to dry completely.
For Metal Surfaces: Remove all rust, grease, and contaminants using wire brush or sandpaper. Apply appropriate anti-corrosive metal primer (such as Red Oxide Primer for ferrous metals or Galvanized Metal Primer for galvanized surfaces). Allow primer to dry completely.
For Previously Painted Surfaces: Remove all loose or flaking paint. Sand smooth and clean thoroughly. Ensure surface is dry before proceeding.
2. Protection of Adjacent Areas
Cover floors, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces with protective sheets or masking tape to prevent paint spillage.
3. Priming
Apply recommended primer based on substrate type. Allow primer to dry completely before applying Luxol Satin Enamel topcoat.
4. Paint Mixing & Preparation
Stir the paint thoroughly before use to ensure uniform consistency and even distribution of micro-fine pigments. Thin if necessary using mineral turpentine or white spirit (typically 10-15% for brush application). Strain through fine mesh sieve to remove any lumps.
5. Paint Application
Apply using high-quality brush, roller, or spray equipment. Apply the first coat evenly with uniform coverage. Maintain consistent stroke direction for smooth satin finish. Allow adequate drying time before applying the second coat.
6. Final Finishing
Apply the second coat uniformly to achieve optimum color depth and the characteristic silken smooth, glowing satin finish. Ensure complete coverage without missed spots or streaks.
